Departure from Crans, via one of the various paths that lead up to the Violettes Cabin, where you'll stay for a well deserved night's rest. The next day, set off towards the Plaine-Morte and cross the Col du Pochet pass before heading down to the Er de Chermignon. From here, walkers follow the stunning Bisse du Ro, which passes close to the Tseuzier Lake (Rawyl Dam). Returning along this legendary bisse, virtually clinging to the rock face in places, walkers can only imagine the difficulties encountered by those who built these incredible constructions with hardly any technical assistance. These men had a clear vision of the future, their survival method. Valaisian heritage is closely linked to the bisses (80of drinking water in Valais and 40 of drinking water in Switzerland comes from springs which are nearly all in mountain regions). This steep route, which can be vertiginous, but without great danger, is however unsuitable for those who suffer from vertigo or who are not fit.
Author’s recommendation
Although not very dangerous, this steep and somewhat vertiginous hike should not be undertaken by people who are prone to vertigo or are not in good physical condition.
