Die Hütte befindet sich auf einer Höhe von 1.500 m am Eingang des Naturparks Alta Valle Antrona im Ossola-Tal.
Sie befindet sich neben dem kleinen Dorf Alpe Cheggio ehemals eine alten Hütten mit Scheunen. In der Nähe von See Alpe Cavalli, mit dem Hintergrund der Andolla (3656) und Weissmeis (4017), einer der Gletscher des Sempione-Triptychons.
Es verfügt über ein Wohnzimmer, 24 Etagenbetten, die in 5 Zimmer mit Winterheizung unterteilt sind, 4 gemeinsame Badezimmer und eine Dusche auf der Etage, einen Behinderten-Service im Erdgeschoss und eine WLAN-Verbindung. Ein Schlafsack oder ein persönlicher Schlafsack ist obligatorisch.
Die Küche bereitet traditionelle Rezepte des Val d'Ossola, indem auch die Produkte der Valle Ossola Knödel oder Nudeln mit Fleischsauce all'ossolana, Polenta mit tapulon oder „unser“, Kutteln Simplon und cuchela.

Die Hütte ist über die Autobahn Gravellona Toce Domodossola erreichbar. Am Ortsausgang von Villadossola fahren Sie das Antronatal hinauf, wo Sie nach ca. 15 km, sobald Sie den Platz erreicht haben, nach rechts abbiegen und der Beschilderung Cheggio für weitere 7 km folgen. Die Strecke ist komplett asphaltiert.Coordinates
