The house was built in the 1930s as an alpine hut and used as an office for the construction of the Morasco dam. At the end of the construction, the buildings were used for the maintenance of the dam. In the early '90s, the complex was bought by the Antigorio Divedro and Formazza mountain community, which renovated the building to become a high altitude training center.
Opened in July 2009 as a private cabin, it is the starting point for many excursions of all levels. It is run by Francesca Valci and Davide Liuzza and is open at certain times of the year with accommodation and refreshment services.
