Farmerhaus
Welcome to our mountain restaurant in Zermatt. The restaurant is a round wooden house with considerable character, very authentic and a cosy atmosphere.
Location: the Farmerhaus mountain restaurant is situated in the ski and hiking area in towards Furi â Matterhorn, directly on the Furi â Matterhorn ski slope.
The mountain restaurant is always accessible whether on foot, on skis, by train, sledge or snowboard.
History: Thomas and Elsa Biner built the mountain restaurant, Farmerhaus, 1830 metres above sea level on Furi in 1986 and opened it with their children.
Today, it is affectionately run by the daughters.
Specialities include Swiss, regional dishes, such as barbecued meats, homemade röstl potatoes, cheese cuts, cheese fondue, pastries and apple strudel and a variety of fruit cakes. New this winter is chicken in the basket. Raclette and fondue chinoise can be pre-ordered.
